Today starts yet another ✨Plastic Free July✨. If you have no idea what that is, it’s a nice way to tackle a habit in your life that you feel can be more eco-friendly, and challenge yourself to do better for one month. At the end of it, you get to evaluate how well you did, was it really as hard as you thought and could you keep doing it for more than a month?

Since it’s summer, I thought I’ll share with you an idea for a very easy challenge that you can set for yourself ( if you haven’t been doing it already ). Do you like ice cream? Do you eat it often when you’re outside and if yes, what do you answer to the question “Waffle cone or plastic/paper cup?” Do you know that even the paper cups are coated with a thin wax to keep liquids from seeping through the paper fibers, making them unrecyclable. And when you think about it, waffle cones are kind of brilliant! They were invented in the late 1800s and yet they are such a sustainable and cool solution even compared to the inventions of today.🍦🍦🍦

Of course some people can’t or prefer not to eat some of the ingredients in a waffle cone. In that case as an alternative you can ask to have the ice cream in your own traveling coffee mug and eat it with your own spoon. 🍵🥄

What do you think? Do you have these options when you want to enjoy a refreshing ice cream outside or is it totally different?
