We see the label “biodegradable” or “compostable” and we think “I’m making a better choice”. But did you know ( I didn’t until recently ) that biodegradable items are designed to be decomposed only with the specific process of composting which does not occur in landfills.So once again the greenest option is the one that’s used over and over again. Reusable coffee mugs, water bottles and real dishware and utensils are environmentally better than their disposable options, even if they could be recycled or composted. Just think of all the energy and resources that go into producing something that only gets used once!🍂🍁🌿
